Fire Safety Tips:
Kitchen Safety:
Never leave food unattended on the stove. Keep cooking areas/surfaces clean and uncluttered. Don't cook when you are drowsy.

Space Heaters:
Keep all space heaters at least three feet from anything that can burn.

Smoking Materials:
Use large, deep non-tip ashtrays, and pour water on butts and ashes before throwing them in the garbage. Never smoke when you are sleepy.

Matches and Lighters:
Store matches and lighters locked up high, away from children.

Electricity:
Replace damaged electrical cords. Repair appliances that smell, smoke or overheat.

Candles:
Keep candles away from anything that can burn. Blow them out when grown-ups leave the room or go to sleep.
